Saturday night

Walking home down Queensway last night, I noticed Dod and another junkie outside Tesco.

I'll call the new guy Jim, he looks a bit like Jim Morrison, about 6' caucasian, thick short dark straight hair, and a thick beard and moustache. The beard and moustache are funny in a way, neatly cropped to about 1/2" long, but they almost look like they could have been put on as a disguise, it looks somehow unnatural. He is gaunt, and has pale waxy skin. He wears a long scruffy Macintish type overcoat. He was sitting down begging outside the entrance to Tesco, and Dod was standing next to him, doddering around as usual.

I ran into Jim for the first time on Friday in a local chemist. He was walking in just in front of me. He held the door open for a lady who was leaving, he was standing there holding it open for ages, and at the same time he was looking towards the counters to see where the staff were. He proceeded to one of the racks by the entrance that the staff can't see and starting shuffling around with some bottles of shampoo. I suspected he was going to steal something, so walked to the counter as quickly as I could alerting the staff. To cut a long story short, Jim announced he was going out for a minute as he had left something outside', and when the pharamcist asked him if he wanted to buy/pay for anything from the front rack, replied asking if he was accusing him of stealing stuff. Back at the counter, Jim simply asked for '1ml', to be handed an anonymous grey polythene wrapped package. It later transpired that this was a pack from the needle exchange scheme, containing 1ml syringes, hypodermic needles and a sharp-safe.

You must be a really sad person to have the time to actively follow junkies around, have you no life? Let me explain something to you, wherever you find wealth, you'll find sex, drugs and all the other vices that wealth attracts, wherever you find poverty, you'll find drugs, sex and all the other vices that poverty attracts, a poor man cannot afford to bring tons of drugs into a country, a wealthy man can and does bring tons of drugs into the country, its a total waste of your time trying to blame the man or woman at the bottom of the foodchain, spend your time trying to follow and describe the real culprits, i bet you couldn't, but you so full of yourself when it comes to these street junkies. GET A LIFE.

And you must be a loser to go out and not see this happening around you; or not care. I don't 'follow these people', just I see them every time I go out. Perhaps you don't mind living amongst open criminality, where the people who need help can't get it?

The comments on the blog were aimed that those that cannot see this. Stupid people, like you.
